ELPHA Formwork is a full-chain aluminum formwork enterprise with two fully integrated production bases and a total manufacturing footprint of 1,100 Chinese acres across two production bases in Henan and Guangdong (Shareholder-Owned) Province. The company has built a complete industrial system covering R&D, engineering design, recycled aluminum recovery, billet melting and casting, profile extrusion, automated formwork fabrication, project support, and closed-loop recycling.

 

With strong in-house manufacturing depth, ELPHA Formwork operates with 5,000+ molds, 40+ automated production lines, and 600 mm wide extrusion capability, allowing the company to support both high-volume standard production and demanding project requirements with consistent quality and reliable lead times.

  • Hongxinghua (49% shareholder) established the manufacturing foundation in Henan, initially focusing on aluminum extrusion production and building the upstream manufacturing base for future expansion into aluminum formwork systems.

  • Hongxinghua (49% shareholder) accelerated automation and technical upgrading, improving design capability, manufacturing efficiency, and process integration. Through cooperation with PKPM, the design cycle for some projects was reduced from 7–8 days to 5–6 days.

      Full-Chain Production System

      ELPHA Formwork applies a full-chain production and quality control system from scrap preparation to traceable release. Quality is embedded from material stage to shipment, ensuring alloy consistency, dimensional stability, structural reliability, surface quality, and delivery predictability.

      Incoming Billet Inspection Standards

      ELPHA Formwork performs batch-based inspection of billet chemical composition, dimensions, surface, and internal structure. Acceptance limits: diameter ±1 mm, length +10 mm, straightness 2 mm/m, end squareness ≤5 mm. For 6061 alloy, tighter internal ranges apply for Si, Mg, Fe, Cu, Zn, Ti, Cr. Each billet has alloy-grade and furnace-number ID, conformity label, tail-end slices, and furnace-by-furnace report, ensuring traceability before production release.

      Scrap Preparation and Crushing Control

      Quality control begins before melting. In the crushing stage, scrap must first be checked and confirmed against customer records, and weighing scales used for output control are calibrated every shift. Non-aluminum contaminants such as wood, steel straps, wire rope, large iron parts, cement residue, and wet material are required to be removed or flagged before entering the system.

      Melting and Alloy Chemistry Control

      In melting, ELPHA Formwork uses process controls for metallurgical consistency, not experience alone. Raw materials must be clean, dry, low-impurity, and composition-confirmed. The system uses recycled 6061 with controlled alloy additions. Melting at 700°C+, followed by electromagnetic stirring and iron removal at ~680°C. After alloy additions, samples undergo spectrometric analysis; if out of spec, adjustment is mandatory before refining.

      Refining and Melt Cleanliness Control

      After chemistry confirmation, refining is done at 700°C+ using high-purity argon. The lance moves across the melt to avoid dead zones, improving degassing and inclusion control. Slag is removed, covering flux applied, followed by a defined holding period before casting. This ensures melt cleanliness, chemistry stability, and casting readiness.

      Sampling, Testing, and Composition Adjustment

      ELPHA Formwork's training ensures closed-loop chemistry control. Sampling occurs only after alloy additions and full homogenization. Samples must be correctly prepared, preheated if needed, and analyzed via spectrometry. If results miss target composition, the melt must be adjusted before proceeding.

      Billet Identification and Release Control

      Billet release includes traceable marking and acceptance practices. Each billet carries alloy and furnace information; finished bundles show furnace number, alloy grade, cut length, and key chemistry data. Cutting standards depend on billet diameter, with head/tail trimming requirements and controlled length ranges. This links melting, casting, inspection, and release.
